A retiring U.S Senator from Iowa has weighed in on the upcoming race for his seat. Tom Harkin (D), who is calling it quits after five terms in the U.S. Senate, is warning Iowa democrats to be careful what they wish for in wanting Congressman Steve King to run for the office. Harkin's message is to not take King lightly, telling the Omaha World-Herald he's never understimated King. King, speaking this morning on 1400 KVFD, says while he's still considering a run, he knows what's at stake (King) Iowa Democrat Bruce Braley has already formally launched a campaign for the seat. No Republican has officially entered the race.
