Any rumors about a possible departure by Iowa State's Fred Hoiberg were quickly put to rest last night. Iowa State athletics director Jamie Pollard announced last night that the university agreed to a contract extension with its men's basketball coach. Hoiberg agreed to a 10 year, $20 million dollar contract to remain at his alma mater. In a statement, Hoiberg says he "looks forward to continue leading a program that Cyclones fans can be proud of". In his last two seasons, Hoiberg has lead the Cyclones to back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances for the first time in 12 years.
