The Fort Dodge YWCA will be transitioning through both a leadership and name change. Current Executive Director Ann Davidson announced that she will be retiring effective Friday, May 3. Davidson, who has served as Executive Director since 2004, will be replaced by Dave Chapin. Chapin joined the YWCA staff in November as clinical director. With the change, new services geared towards drug and alcohol recovery will be implemented. The YWCA building at 826 First Avenue North will be renamed the YWCA Center for Life Empowerment. In addition, an outpatient program for both men and women will be offered at an outpatient empowerment center at 7 North 12th Street.
