Iowa authorities have identified a man accused of abducting two girls in Dayton on Monday. Charis Paulson, Director of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, says the search is ongoing for 15 year-old Kathlynn Shepard. Another 12 year-old girl was abducted along with Shepard, however she was able to escape. Paulson reports the 12 year-old girl was treated and released from UnityPoint Health-Trinity. In addition, Paulson says 42 year-old Stratford resident Michael Klunder, was found dead at around 8:00 last night in a rural area northeast of Dayton. A cause of death remains under investigation. Paulson said right now they are seeking vital information (Paulson) Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Webster County Law Enforcement Center. Webster County Sheriff Jim Stubbs says volunteers are being sent home at this time and additional help is not needed.
