Fort Dodge Students Celebrate Rachel's Challenge

Students from the Fort Dodge Community School District and St Edmond gathered at Dodger Stadium this morning to show how they'd accepted Rachel's Challenge. Rachel's Challenge, a program based on the writings of Rachel Joy Scott, encourages students to treat each other with kindness and compassion.  Videos showcased the efforts students made throughout the year to make Fort Dodge a better place. Superintendent Doug Van Zyl said they chose Rachel's Challenge because it brings positive change:

Students had a goal of creating a paper chain the length of the football field demonstrating the many acts of kindness. In the end, well over 600 yards of chain was unveiled.
