A doctor in northern Iowa charged with sex abuse and sexual exploitation was sentenced yesterday. 40 year old Hampton resident Brian Hansen was sentenced to a suspended 5 year sentence and 5 years of probation on Thursday. Hansen accepted a plea deal and was found guilty on one count of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse charges. As part of the agreement, Hansen must register as a sex offender and pay restitution; he also has a no contact order against the victims. The Iowa Board of Medicine suspended his license last September. He was accused of sexually harassing or assaulting six female co-workers, including four whom he had treated as patients.
