Iowa Supreme Court to Review "Irresistible Attraction" Ruling
The Iowa Supreme Court has decided to reconsider the case of a Fort Dodge dentist who fired a female employee he claimed was an "irresistible attraction. Chief Justice Mark Cady signed an order to resubmit the lawsuit filed by Melissa Nelson and to reconsider the case. Nelson had worked for Knight for 10 years before she was fired in 2010. In December, the high court originally ruled that a boss can fire an employee he considers "irresistible" even if they have not done anything wrong. A new ruling could come as soon as Friday.
