Shepards to Begin Circulating "Kathlynn's Hope" Petitions



The family of Kathlynn Shepard continues its efforts in getting a "One Strike" rule established in the State of Iowa. Two weeks ago, Kathlynn's parents Michael and Denise Shepard, announced a partnership with Chelsea's Light Foundation, and hope to begin circulating petitions within the next week. By signing the petition, one would show support towards the institution of a law that would place violent offenders against children behind bars for life. In addition, the Shepard's are hoping any legislation would also include GPS monitoring for sex offenders currently on parole. Michael Shepard says the "Kathlynn's Hope" law is a much bigger mission than just honoring their daughter:
