The St Edmond Gaels are headed to the consolation bracket after falling in a Class 2A state quarterfinal. Playing in their home ballpark, the sixth-ranked Gaels led 1-0 over Ridge View heading into the 6th inning when 4 defensive errors led to three Raptors runs. Jaci Stumpf scored the lone run for the Gaels on an RBI double from Allie Oberg, and starting pitcher Katie Donnelly went the distance, giving up six hits and striking out six. All three runs allowed were unearned. With the 3-1 win, Ridge View advances to a Thursday afternoon semifinal matchup with Durant. The Gaels will regroup and face Lawton-Bronson on Wednesday at noon.
