Warland Remains Held Following Initial Appearance
A Fort Dodge man will remain held in prison following his initial appearance on several assault-related charges. 23 year-old Logan Warland appeared in Webster County Magistrate Court and was ordered held on $27,000 bond on multiple charges, including Domestic Assault Causing Bodily Injury, Possession of a Firearm as a Convicted Felon, and False Imprisonment. The charges stem from a series in alleged incidents between June 30 and August 26. According to criminal complaints, the victim required stitches above her right eye following a June 30th incident and suffered a fractured collarbone during a July 5 incident. In the most recent case, Warland allegedly drove to Ankeny, brought the victim back to Fort Dodge against her will, and repeatedly assaulted her. In addition, a district court judge ordered Warland held without bond for an alleged parole violation.
