A Stratford man was charged with attempted murder after he and another man were burned in a garage fire. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says the alleged incident happened Tuesday when 43-year-old David Lundberg allegedly poured gasoline around himself and a garage. A relative, 20-year-old Dakota Buse, tried to stop him but the gasoline ignited. Both were burned, but Buse's injuries were more severe. He was taken to a Webster City hospital, then flown to the burn unit at the University of Iowa. Lundberg was treated for burns and then charged with attempted murder, willful injury, domestic abuse assault and reckless use of fire. He was held in the Hamilton County Jail.
