A jury has convicted a Waterloo man of several charges in the death of his 17-month-old son. On Friday jurors found Daniel John Reddout guilty of involuntary manslaughter, child endangerment causing death and child endangerment multiple acts. The charges stem from the April 2011 death of Kaleb Reddout. Prosecutors charged that Reddout choked his son in an effort to put him down for a nap at a Cedar Falls motel room. Reddout was charged with first-degree murder, which carries a mandatory life sentence, but jurors chose to find Reddout guilty of the less serious charges.
