One Injured in Stabbing at FDSH Homecoming Dance

The Fort Dodge Police Department says a Fort Dodge resident was arrested following an alleged stabbing incident. The incident was reported at 10:50pm Saturday during the Fort Dodge Senior High homecoming dance. Police Chief Tim Carmody says a 17 year-old victim received a stab wound to the back, and was transported to UnityPoint Trinity Regional Medical Center before being flown to a Des Moines hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening. Fort Dodge Police Officers arrested an unidentified 17 year-old male Fort Dodge resident who fled the scene following the alleged incident. He was charged with Willful Injury, a Class C felony, and is being held at a juvenile facility. It is not known if one or both of the individuals were students in the Fort Dodge Community School District.
