A potential Republican presidential candidate will headline a fundraiser in Des Moines next month. Texas Governor Rick Perry is expected to appear at a dinner hosted by the Republican Party of Polk County on November 7. The event, being held at the downtown Des Moines Embassy Suites, has tickets available starting at $75 per person. After an unsuccessful 2012 bid, Perry is considering a run at the 2016 Republican nomination. He would be just one of several possible candidates who have appeared in Iowa in recent months. Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, and Kentucky's Rand Paul have all been in the state. Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan is expected to give the keynote speech at a birthday fundraiser for Governor Terry Branstad next month.
