FD Woman Held After Alleged Car Chase

A Fort Dodge woman was ordered held on bond after allegedly leading officers on an early Friday morning chase that ended in Wright County. Fort Dodge Police Chief Tim Carmody says 28 year-old Trisha Woodman is facing several charges including Eluding and Driving While Barred. In the area of 4th Avenue North and 20th Street, an officer reportedly tried to make contact with a male subject walking in the area who ran away towards a vehicle. Woodman allegedly drove away out of Fort Dodge, through Humboldt, and into Wright County. The chase ended when Iowa State Patrol troopers deployed tire deflation devices. Woodman appeared in Webster County Magistrate Court Friday morning and was ordered held on $4,000 bond. The male suspect, 30 year-old Central City resident Jacob Wood, was arrested on outstanding failure to appear and arrest warrants.
