Police have charged a Michigan man in the death of a 2-year-old Iowa girl. Waterloo police say 37-year-old Nathaniel Quentin Knight was charged with child endangerment resulting in death. The charge stems from a March 12 incident in which Waterloo authorities were called to a home where a child wasn't breathing. When medics arrived, they found the girl was cold to the touch. She was taken to a Waterloo hospital, where she was pronounced dead. An autopsy showed she likely died of hypothermia. Police issued a warrant Sept. 30 for Knight, and police arrested him Oct. 1 in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. He was returned to Waterloo last weekend and remains in the Black Hawk County Jail.
