Clive Man Accused of Injuring Ex-Girlfriend with Shotgun
A Clive man is accused of pointing a shotgun at his ex-girlfriend and injuring her. Clive police say Anthony Edens was taken to the Polk County Jail Tuesday following a report of a house disturbance. A woman told police that she and Edens argued until he emerged from a room with a shotgun. Edens is accused of pointing the shotgun at the woman and hitting her with the weapon. The woman says she retrieved a pistol during the couple's argument and tried to use it, but Edens allegedly disarmed her before fleeing the house. He was later taken into custody. Edens has been charged with first-degree burglary, false imprisonment and assault while displaying a weapon.
