FD Man Accused of Threatening Woman with Handgun, Probation Violation
A Fort Dodge man is being held on $17,000, accused of threatening to use a handgun on the mother of his child and violating his probation. 29 year-old Justin Bolden made his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Thursday on charges of possession of a firearm as a felon and assault displaying a weapon. If convicted on both charges, he faces a possible 7 years in prison. Bond was set at $7,000 for those two charges in addition to a $10,000 bond for allegedly violating his parole.The possession of a firearm as a felon charge stems from a 2007 conviction of 3rd Degree sexual abuse. According to criminal complaints, on August 5, Bolden allegedly threatened to use a handgun on the female victim at a home in the 300 block of 1st Avenue South in Fort Dodge. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for November 22.
