Cedar Rapids Man to Serve 17 Years for Possessing Child Porn
A Cedar Rapids man has been sentenced to more than 17 years in prison after admitting that he had possessed child pornography for nearly a decade. U.S. District Judge Linda Reade says 47-year-old Bryan Lynch will serve up to 210 months in prison, and then 10 years of supervised release. Lynch admitted that he possessed child pornography between November 2004 and April 2013, amassing more than 350 videos and 175 images. Prosecutors said he used the Internet to download child pornography from 2010 to 2013. Under a plea agreement with prosecutors, Lynch pleaded guilty in August to one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession.
