FD Council to Discuss Phillips, Fair Oaks Middle School Plans

The Fort Dodge City Council will be meeting tonight for three workshops in addition to its regular business session. Beginning at 5:00pm, the council will discuss a sanitary sewer evaluation study, the capital improvement plan, and plans for the future of two old middle school buildings. This summer, the Fort Dodge Community School District awarded Kansas City-based Foutch Brothers LLC the option of purchasing both Phillips and Fair Oaks middle school buildings for $1 each. The option expires on December 17. Foutch Brothers plans to convert both buildings into apartment buildings. During its meeting, the council could approve promotional appointments to Captain and Lieutenant in the Fort Dodge Fire Department.
