Representatives from Community and Family Resources addressed the Webster County Board of Supervisors to request an increase in substance abuse treatment rates. CFR Executive Director Michelle DeLaRiva asked the board for $421 daily rate for detox services, an increase from the $299 rate that has been in effect for the last 10 years. DeLaRiva went on to say the detox program has lost around $200,000 each year. Ken Hays, Webster County Community Services Director, says the service has the county's full support, however money is the issue:
The supervisors took no action on the request, and are waiting to see what the projected impact the increase would have on the county's budget.
