The trial for a Rockwell City man accused of killing a police officer has been rescheduled to next year. The trial for 32 year-old Corey Trott had been scheduled to begin next week, however he waived his right to a speedy trial. Trott is accused of shooting and killing officer Jamie Buenting during a stand-off situation on September 13. Trott pleaded not guilty to a charge of first degree murder. The trial is now scheduled to begin on April 21 of next year.
