The Fort Dodge City Council will receive an update on a new trash collection program and could approve a couple of development agreements when it meets tonight. A workshop is scheduled at 5:30pm for an update on the new solid waste collection program which will be phased in over the winter months. Public Works Director Greg Koch said last week all single family homes will receive two 96-gallon bins, one for recycling and one for trash (Koch) During the regular session, the council is expected to approve resolutions approving economic development support to Kemna Properties and Foutch Brothers LLC. Foutch Brothers LLC plans to purchase the old Phillips and Fair Oaks middle school buildings for $1 each and convert them to apartment buildings, while Kemna is planning a major renovation of their facilities.
