FD Council Gives Support to Economic Development Projects

 The Fort Dodge City Council gave their full support to two economic development projects on Monday. The city plans to provide up to $76,000 in tax increment financing over three years to support Kemna Auto of Fort Dodge. Kemna is in the process of renovating its property, which includes a new showroom and a new home for Auto Smart used cars. In addition, the city plans to offer TIF dollars and property tax abatements to Foutch Brothers LLC, which intends to convert the old Phillips and Fair Oaks middle school buildings into apartment complexes.
