Supervisors Approve Detox Funding Increase

The Webster County Board of Supervisors approved a request to increase the rates for substance abuse detox service. With the increase, the daily rate to Community and Family Resources will move from $215 to $421. Ken Hays, county community services director, said the county's substance abuse treatment budget is $75,000, and with the increase the county should still be slightly under budget. Hays said last year, the county spent under $35,000 of its $75,000 budget. Supervisor Clark Fletcher emphasized the importance of providing essential services while remaining within the county's budget

The board approved the increase unanimously.
