Clay County Woman Facing Over 50 Charges Stemming from Drug Investigation
The Storm Lake Police Department says a Clay County resident is facing over 50 charges stemming from a drug investigation. 28 year-old Royal resident Kayleen Leedahl is being held on $50,000 on charges including felony ongoing criminal conduct and possession with intent to deliver. Between July 11 and November 13, Leedahl allegedly posed as a nurse and used fraudulent information to obtain 18 different prescription drugs at the Storm Lake Walmart pharmacy. Police allege Leedahl obtained the drugs with the intent to deliver or sell on the street. Warrants were served by the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, where Leedahl is already in custody on a charge of probation revocation stemming from stolen lottery tickets.
