Foutch Bros Receives Extension to Purchase Middle School Buildings
A Kansas City developer looking to convert two old middle school buildings into apartments received an extension on an important deadline. The Fort Dodge Community School board granted an extension of a Dec 17 deadline for Foutch Bros LLC during a special meeting Tuesday. Foutch Bros now has until March 31 to purchase Fair Oaks and Phillips middle school buildings for $1 a piece. The company plans to convert both into apartment complexes. District officials say the extension was needed due to the city's time line of when legislation could be brought before city council.
