FD Man Accused of Writing Over $75K in Bad Checks



A Fort Dodge man is facing multiple felony charges, accused of writing over $75,000 in bad checks. 35 year-old Nathaniel Marsh is being held on $50,000 bond on charges of ongoing criminal conduct, 2nd degree theft, and four counts of forgery. According to criminal complaints, Marsh allegedly wrote over $75,000 in bad checks in Fort Dodge and other Iowa cities between June 8 and August 8. Among the incidents, Marsh allegedly used forged checks to purchase over $1,000 of merchandise at the Fort Dodge Target. Investigators say there is a co-defendant in the case, who has not been charged at this time. Marsh's preliminary hearing was scheduled for January 24.
