Branstad Touts Success, Looks to Future in FD Stop
Governor Terry Branstad continued his re-election campaign with a stop in Fort Dodge Saturday morning. Speaking at Decker Truck Line, Branstad focused his speech on all of the successes Iowa has seen in the last four years, including the strength of Iowa's economy, investments in education, and tax cuts. He said he hopes to push workforce development and "Home Base Iowa", a new initiative designed to attract veterans to the state. Locally, Branstad says development seen around Fort Dodge, including the ag industrial park, is a major player in the state's economic forecast:
