Four Pets Lost in FD Apartment Fire



The Fort Dodge Fire Department says four pets were lost in a Wednesday night apartment fire. Crews were dispatched to 204 K Street at around 8:20pm and found flames blowing out of a second-story window. Chief Kent Hulett reported major damage to the structure, but the exact cause has not been determined. No persons were in the two apartments at the time, but    residents in both were displaced.  Four dogs were lost in the fire. The Red Cross was called in to assist. Hulett says crews remained on the scene for about three hours.
