Several Construction Contracts Approved by Fort Dodge Council

Several major construction contracts were approved by the Fort Dodge City Council. City Engineer Chad Schaeffer says Rasch Construction was hired at a cost of almost $52,000 to demolish several buildings near 1st Avenue South and 6th Street:

The council next awarded a contract to Wicks Construction for the reconstruction of a portion of 1st Avenue North. The road will be completely rebuilt between 3rd and 7th streets at a cost of just over $2.8 million. The third contract was for over $575,000 to Fort Dodge Asphalt, which will install new traffic signals at the eastern driveway of Menards. 5th Avenue South will also be reduced from four lanes to three east of the store.
