Forecasters are predicting several inches of snow to fall across southern Iowa, creating hazardous driving conditions. The National Weather Service says a winter storm warning will be in effect between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday. The snow will be light Tuesday morning then turn into heavy accumulation by afternoon and evening. It's expected to taper off by Wednesday morning. officials predict between 5 and 8 inches of snow, especially in areas closest to the Missouri state line. Blowing and drifting snow will create hazardous road conditions, and visibility at times may be reduced to half a mile or less.
