The Fort Dodge City Council will meet for its regular session tonight. Among the agenda items, the council could approve the hiring of a firm to identify contaminated sites downtown. In May, the city received a $400,000 EPA grant towards identifying contaminated sites. Also, the council is expected to refinance a $22 million dollar-plus bond issue. The action would extend the repayment schedule for the bond issue, which went towards sanitary sewer work at the ag park. The council could also set public hearing dates to approve development agreements tied to new apartment complexes and hotel.
