Expect Increased Law Enforcement Presence During St Patrick's Day Weekend
Law enforcement agencies across Iowa will be stepping up their presence during the St Patrick's Day weekend. The Iowa Department of Public Safety says officers will be out in force from March 14-17 as part of the 2014 sTEP program. During last year's St Patrick's Day holiday, agencies reported 352 OWI's, over 5,000 speeding violations, and almost 2,400 seat belt violations.
