Hawkeyes Falter, Cyclones Advance in Conference Tournaments
The Iowa Hawkeyes are one and done after an upset loss in the Big Ten tournament. The Northwestern Wildcats upset the Hawkeyes 67-62 to become the first 11 seed to beat a 6 seed in the conference tournament. Roy Devyn Marble had 25 points and Jarrod Uthoff added 17 for Iowa. The Hawkeyes have now lost 6 of their last 7 and will enter postseason play at 20-11 overall. Meanwhile, the Iowa State Cyclones survived and advanced to the Big 12 tournament semifinals with a win over Kansas State. Led by Melvin Ejim's 24 points, the Cyclones topped the Wildcats 91-85 and will face Kansas tonight. Tipoff is set for 6:00pm, and can be heard on True Country 540 KWMT.
