Reward Offered for Info in Boone River Petroleum Spill

Webster City officials are offering a $300 reward for information regarding a petroleum spill in the Boone River. City officials noticed the spill Thursday afternoon, on the river near Nokomis Park in Webster City. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Webster City Police were both notified. The substance has since dissipated. A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest if the spill is determined to have been intentional. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Webster City police.
