Fort Dodge Man Facing Felony Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

A Fort Dodge man is facing felony drug charges following a Tuesday afternoon traffic stop. 31 year-old Brian Berg was ordered held on $55,000 cash or surety bond during his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Wednesday morning. According to criminal complaints, Berg was pulled over near South 22nd Street and 10th Avenue S and cited for not having a drivers license or license plates. During the stop, Berg was also allegedly found to have two baggies containing over 7 grams of methamphetamine. As the officer attempted to make an arrest, Berg allegedly resisted and tried to flee the scene on foot. He is facing charges of Class B felony possession with intent to deliver, Class D felony failure to affix drug tax stamp, and interference with official acts. Berg's preliminary hearing was scheduled for March 27.
