Van Diest Medical Center to Close Dayton Clinic
A Dayton medical clinic is set to close after a vote by the Van Diest Medical Center board of trustees. The Webster City Freeman Journal reports that the board voted to close the Dayton Clinic following a closed session on Tuesday night. Hospital officials cited a projected $70,000 annual loss for the clinic, which opened last summer. In addition, officials say data shows that most of the Dayton patients are going to either Fort Dodge or Ames for services. The clinic will have a 90 day window before officially being closed.
