The Fort Dodge Police Department is searching for a man in connection to an investigation that has already led to two arrests. Fort Dodge Police Chief Tim Carmody says on Sunday afternoon, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of 15th Avenue North to investigate a burglary. The homeowner told officers that the home had been broken into while he was out of town. The investigation led to warrants being issued for 31 year-old Fort Dodge resident George Johnson. He is facing felony charges of 3rd degree burglary, 2nd degree criminal mischief and 1st degree theft. Anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact Fort Dodge Police or Webster County Crime Stoppers. In addition, early Monday morning, officers were set to the same address for a burglary-in-progress. Fort Dodge residents 30 year-old Amanda Cullum and 51 year-old Martin Fye were arrested in connection to this alleged incident and charged with 2nd degree attempted burglary. Both have made appearances in Webster County Magistrate Court and were ordered held on $5,000 cash bond. Cullum’s preliminary hearing was set for April 16, while Fye’s is scheduled for April 18.
