The Webster County Board of Supervisors accepted sealed bids on Tuesday to replace four bridges. Six companies submitted bids for the projects, which include one bridge on Dakota Avenue west of Moorland, one on 390th Street east of County Road P29, and two on 380th Street east of Iowa Highway 144. Reinbeck (IA) based Peterson Construction submitted the lowest bid for the Dakota Ave bridge at $80,327.50 and the two 380th Street bridges at $251,202.25. Lake Mills (IA) based Rognes Bros. Excavating submitted the low bid for the 390th Street bridge replacement at $121,872. Webster County Engineer Randy Will says the bids will be reviewed and a construction contract will be approved by the supervisors at a later meeting.
