Des Moines officers say an escaped inmate has been captured in Warren county. Polk County Sheriff's Lt. Brent Long says that 37-year-old Kenny Bevard escaped around 4:50 p.m. Thursday in Clive while being driven to Adel in Dallas County. He was last seen at a Guthrie Ave Kum & Go shortly after 11:00pm that night. Just after 3:20pm Friday, official apprehended Bevard, following a tip as to his location. He was found hiding under a porch at a residence southwest of Norwalk. Officials charged 41 year old Casey Risius with allegedly aiding and abetting an escapee. Risius also had outstanding drug warrants. Bevard suffered minor injuries after resisting a K-9 unit used to draw him out. Bevard was transported to the Polk County Jail, where he remains held on escape charges.
