Webster City Begins Search for new Police, Fire Chiefs
Webster City officials have begun the process of looking for the city's next police and fire chiefs. The Freeman Journal reports that the city's civil service commission approved the process for filling both positions during a meeting Wednesday afternoon. Both fire chief Mike Lund and police chief Brian Hughes have announced they would be vacating their positions at the end of this year. The deadline to apply for the fire chief position is May 5 with interviews scheduled to take place May 29 or 30. For police chief, the deadline to apply is May 20, with interviews slated to be held the week of August 4.
