(KINNESAW, Ga.) -- A workplace shooting at a FedEx warehouse in Georgia has resulted in multiple injuries, officials said Tuesday.
The shooting occurred at a warehouse off Old 41 Highway NW, Kennesaw, near the Cobb County Airport.
Cobb County Police spokeswoman Dana Pierce confirmed there is an active and ongoing incident, but could not provide any further details.
Six injured people were taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, ABC News affiliate WSB-TV reported. Their conditions were not immediately known.
A large number of police cars could be seen outside the facility's fence.
FedEx issued a statement saying, "FedEx is aware of the situation. Our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of our team members, first responders and others affected. FedEx is cooperating with authorities."
