Severe Storms Cause Damage in Central Iowa



A heavy grouping of thunderstorms brought heavy winds and rain to most of Iowa last night. The line of storms moved through central Iowa and brought multiple reports of damage and power outages. Several tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued. Guthrie County officials reported damage to at least eight homes near Lake Panorama.  The National Weather Service is expected to send a survey team to the area today to determine whether the damage was caused by a tornado.. Tree damage was also reported near Adel. Thus far, there have been no reports of injuries. More storms are forecast into this afternoon.
