FD Police Seeking Info in Early Sunday Pellet Gun Incident

The Fort Dodge Police Department is investigating a report that a woman was shot in the chest by a pellet gun. Officers were sent to UnityPoint-Trinity Regional Medical Center early Sunday morning, where 22 year-old Franchessca Petraline was treated for a single pellet gun wound to her chest. A family member reported on Facebook that Petraline suffered a collapsed lung but is expected to be ok. Police Chief Tim Carmody says the incident occurred in Izaak Walton Park prior to the victim being transported to the hospital by personal vehicle. Investigators have limited information on the incident at this time, and are asking anyone with information to contact the Fort Dodge Police Department.
