Fort Dodge Man Charged Following Alleged Stabbing

Fort Dodge Police say one man is in custody following an altercation that led to a stabbing. Police Chief Tim Carmody says at 1:20pm Monday, officers were sent to UnityPoint-Trinity Regional Medical Center to investigate a possible stabbing. The victim, 33 year-old Fort Dodge resident Ken Votteler, said he was stabbed in the upper leg and hand during a fight with 47 year-old Rodney Leadley in the 200 block of North 13th Street. He was treated and released from the hospital . After being treated for injuries, Leadley was booked into the Webster County Jail on charges of assault and use/display of a weapon.
