Daniels Free from Jail as She Awaits Voluntary Manslaughter Trial
A Fort Dodge woman charged in the stabbing death of her brother has been released from jail as she awaits her trial. 24 year-old Vanita Daniels had been previously held on $10,000 bond, but on Friday was ordered to be released with supervision to the department of corrections. Daniels is facing a charge of voluntary manslaughter in the May 9 death of 19 year-old Marcquis Collier. Also, defense attorney Joe McCarville has removed himself from the case because he will be seeking the democratic nomination for Webster County Attorney.
