Webster County Democrats Could Nominate Challenger to Supervisor Seat
One Webster County Supervisor could see a challenger on this November's general election ballot. The Fort Dodge Messenger reports that when the Webster County Democrats convene on June 30, they may nominate a candidate to challenge Keith Dencklau for the District 1 seat on the Webster County Board of Supervisors. According to the report, party chair Julie Geopfert says one person has expressed interest in running for the seat, but did not name them. The convention was called in order to select candidates for Webster County Attorney. Current assistant county attorney Jennifer Benson and attorney Joe McCarville have expressed interest in the position.
