FD Police Seek Info in Armed Robbery

The Fort Dodge Police Department is seeking information in an early Friday morning armed robbery. Police Chief Tim Carmody reports that officers were dispatched to the Liquor & Tobacco Outlet at 902 1st Avenue N at about 2:45am Friday in reference to a robbery. The victim, 32 year-old Zahid Ali, reported that he had just closed the business and was approached by a male suspect. The suspect was reportedly armed with a handgun and demanded money. After obtaining money, the suspect fled the scene on foot. Ali described the suspect as a white male in his 20's with a short and medium build. In addition, the suspect was wearing a hood and mask over his face. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Fort Dodge Police.
