Street, Development Agreements on Fort Dodge Council Agenda

It figures to be a busy night when the Fort Dodge City Council meet in session. Prior to its 6:00pm business session, the council has a workshop scheduled to discuss containers being used in the city's new trash collecting system. During its regular meeting, the council will consider several proposals tied to new business developments. The council will consider a transfer road jurisdiction agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation that would allow the city to receive $9 million towards two development projects. The city intends to provide light industrial space on the east side of town with the planned Crosstown Industrial Park. Meanwhile on the west side of town, a planned Triton Plaza development proposal could create a hotel, stores, apartments, and office space.
